Allowing custom user Titles- good/bad?

I think that you should not be allowing users to set custom user-titles, as this may create confusion regarding the user's level of experience and level of activity in the forum. I think that a closed set of user-titles based on user activity will be more better.
(Anyways now that this service is available I set my user-title as Baby-Tux )

Now the user title field has been disabled by default ....
